The CLEANPRO Carpet Cleaning System® was developed to overcome one of the biggest problems in carpet cleaning which over-wetting. Protecting the backing that holds the whole carpet together is critical. Our system cleans right to the base of the carpet fibers while protecting the backing of the carpet by not getting the backing wet. This enables our drying time an average of 1 to 2 hours. Almost all carpet is made with a jute backing which is a natural fiber held together with water-based glue. Carpet is manufactured so that once the backing gets wet, the carpet deteriorates quickly. Once a carpet has been “steam cleaned” a few times, you can actually tear the carpet with your bare hands because of mold, and mildew which leads to what’s called dry rot.
